The very first thing that someone will notice in you is your face. Getting that perfectly defined face is like a long-awaited dream come true. The attractiveness of a person depends on the features, facial traits, and looks he/she has. Besides, researchers have found that women tend to prefer men who have a strong and well-defined jawline. This fact is evident from the well renowned leading movie characters such as Superman.
When males and females get old, their faces undergo significant changes. Also, jawlines tend to go out of shape if extra fat accumulates in the neck and jaw area.
It is not possible to prevent aging, but there are certain things that you can do to enhance your jawline.

How to get a defined jawline?

One of the secrets to gain a defined jawline is proper and sufficient exercise. Below are some of the exercise techniques to achieve a sharp and defined jawline.

Neck Curl Up

This exercise is the neck version of the abdominal curl that you do. First, lie on your back. Press the tongue tightly to the roof of your mouth. Neck curl up will help you to trigger your neck muscles. 

  • First, lift your head above the ground to around 2 inches. Then take your chin near the chest. You should make sure that you don’t raise your stomach when doing this exercise.   
  • Start this exercise by doing three sets (10 times each) and progressively increasing this. 
  • You should increase the number of sets slowly to avoid neck strains.

  • You need to cover the roof of your mouth by your tongue through a press and put tension.
  • Then start humming and making a sound or vibration.
  • Start this exercise with three sets of 15 repetitions.

This chin up exercise aims to improve your chin and facial muscles. 

  • Close your mouth tightly before doing this exercise. Then push your lower jaw down and raise your lower lip. 
  • Stay in that position for about 15 to 20 seconds and then relax.
  • Start this exercise with three sets of 15 repetitions.

Select a hairstyle that elongates your face. It would help if you kept the sides of your hair very tight. Along with it, keep the volume to the top to give an elongated look to the face. If you have a low volume of hair, stick to tight sides to make the maximum use of the hair you have.

Lower the intake of sodium to get a stronger jawline

Taking low amounts of salt will help you to reduce the puffiness of your face. Sodium intake becomes high when you eat a lot of salty snacks and junk food. Reduce the intake of sodium, and along with it, you can drink plenty of water.
